Following his PS4 6.72 Jailbreak Exploit Menu & PS-Phwoar! Host Menu Demo, PlayStation 4 homebrew developer @Leeful (Leeful74 on Twitter) recently shared some new PS4 6.72 Exploit Menu Updates including v9a / v9b Menus, PS-Phwoar! For 6.72, some New Features and a v6 Mod with the latest Sleirsgoevy exploit code and a v10 Test version. 😍

To quote from Leeful on these latest updates: 5 New 6.72 Exploit Menus To Try

Here are 5 new 6.72 Exploit Host Menus for people to try out. Please consider all of these menus as tests. Self host versions of each menu can be found at the bottom of the post.

v9a and v9b Menus

This is v9 of my basic menu for 6.72. I have made 2 versions (a&b). version v9a uses the older more common version of the Sleirsgoevy exploit (5th Aug 2020) and v9b uses the most recent one (9th Oct 2020). You can load the exploit and HEN manually or you can set it to auto-load whatever you want when the menu loads.

The latest exploit takes slightly longer to load but in tests I have gotten a better success rate of the exploit loading. The latest exploit also causes an initial lag on the PS4 home screen once it has been loaded but a simple tip to overcome this is to press L2 then L1 on the home screen.

PS-Phwoar! For 6.72

I initially did not want to release a version of PS-Phwoar! for 6.72 because of the instability of the 6.72 exploit but a lot of people have asked for it so here it is. :)

This is still considered a work in progress and as such rarely you might get a memory error loop when first loading the exploit. If this happens just reopen the browser and try again.

Something New

Here is an old design based on the PS4's settings interface I had made before I made PS-Phwoar! for 5.05. I decided to dust it off and update it to run on 6.72. :)

A nice little feature of this is a settings page to allow you to pick a background color that matches the current theme you have on your PS4.

v6 Mod with latest exploit code

A lot of people (including myself) have found the v6 menu to be the most reliable so I have made a version of it that uses the latest exploit code from Sleirsgoevy. It is an exact copy of v6 apart from the kernel exploit code.

Self Hosting Instructions

Just run the Exploit-Host-Server_v1.3.exe and enter the address it tells you on your PS4 browser. e.g. http://192.168.0.5/index.html

Cheers to @DEFAULTDNB for the news on this via Twitter earlier today! 🍻
Finally, according to the PlayStation Hacktivity page Information Security Engineer theflow0 recently reaped another PlayStation Bug Bounty for $10,000.00 USD 💰🤑 proceeding his PlayStation 4 Disclosure Vows and ultimately the public release of the PS4 7.02 Kernel Exploit (KEX) that led to a PS4 Webkit Bad_Hoist 6.72 Exploit Port resulting in the PS4JB: 6.72 PS4 Jailbreak Exploit, 6.72 PS4 ESP8266 Xploit Host 2.84 and PS4 IPv6 UAF 6.70-6.72 Kernel Exploit with Patches.

Sony closed the report yesterday (October 19th) and he was paid, so hopefully this holiday season the PlayStation 4 scene will see something new from him or someone else... although many will have already moved on to the next-generation PS5 Scene by then, so interest will inevitably be divided among PlayStation developments in both scenes.

Nevertheless, we did hear from CTurt on FreeDVDBoot for PS3 / PS4 and Blu-ray BD-J Attacks, details on How Sony's PS4 Security Was Defeated and remember from December 7-10th during Black Hat Europe 2020 we've yet to see the 0-Day PS4 WebKit Vulnerability Exploit on 6.xx Firmwares disclosed... so it'll be an exciting holiday season for both the PS4 and PS5 console scene this year! :tree:

thanks Leeful for this :)
Please help guys, Im using v6 and I want to try 9B, but when I connected my PS4 to wifi, my PS4 begin to download firmware v8 and some game's update. btw my PS4 setting auto update and auto download already unchecked and I already click the disable update payload from v6.

any idea why my PS4 ignore that auto update/download setting? thanks guys (y)

Already using 9B, 2 pass 0 failed, using mobile phone hotspot, notebook as server (after connect to hotspot then disable the internet) thanks

@satish8sea @Leeful thanks for the information, i think i'm doing wrong step. Before... i want to add Al Azif's dns too, but AFAIK adding dns can be done after connect to internet first, so when internet already connected, it directly download the newest firmware before i entered the dns... i'm very panic at that time... lol, disconnect the internet after see the firmware 8 download popup.

Or i can enter dns first before connect to the internet?
I hope v9b better than v6 in my machine... lol.
Sorry for my English. Thanks guys

@kokotoe Yes, but there is no need to use it. In the v10 menu Hen 2.1.3 will now spoof to v9.00 automatically so yo can just use that on its own and your PSVR will work again.

@SevenDP Make sure auto update is unchecked in system settings (which i think you said you already have). Go to 'Network' and check the 'Connect to the internet' box then go to 'Set Up Internet Connection' and use 'Custom' and then use Al Azifs DNS in the DNS settings part.

After that is all set up run the Disable Updates payload and reboot your PS4. The 8.00 update should have now been deleted. (if not you can manually delete it using FTP)
