PS4 console ban help

So what's up?

I bought a second hand PS4 which was significantly cheaper and it was console banned, I wonder if you guys could help me out? I was told to spoof the console id, and I wanted to know how could I spoof it?

If it was a jailbroken PS4 there are version spoofs such as those HERE and HERE, PS4 IDPS (localized PS4 Console ID) mods and PS4 Spoofer RTM / RTE Tools with Payloads available.

For retail PS4's over 1.76 OFW options are quite limited at the moment unfortunately.

Some advice can be found HERE with Sony's Contact Numbers and other ideas if it's the PSN account that's banned instead of the PS4 console itself.

Long story short, I'd start with calling Sony multiple times (some of their operators are more 'helpful' than others with sharing information) to find out what the exact issue is with the PS4 you got used.
