Following some of the previous PS4 Emulator Ports and his recent update, on this very Merry Christmas day PlayStation 4 developer BigBoss has officially released his PS4 fMSX MSX / MSX2 / MSX2+ emulator LibOrbis port for 1.76 jailbroken consoles! :fire::tree::santa::kitty:

What does this do?

fMSX is an emulator made by Marat Fayzullin. It is not open source and don't let commercial use of it but it is easy to port to many devices. So respect his license condition.

What do you need to compile it?
  • You will need ps4*** fork and liborbis from my own repository

  • Compile fmsx
change your linux/mac ip in eboot_plugin.c

  • You will need ps4sh because all is loaded from host
If you have a directory where ps4sh binary is create

Put your .ROM .DSK .CAS games on GAMES
  • Before execute eboot_plugin you need ps4sh running on directory where system and GAMES folders are created. You can use bluetooth keyboard so enable it before load eboot_plugin
After you see PlayRoom splash screen execute connect command on ps4sh

You can choose MSX MSX2 and MSX2+ and PAL or NTSC.

Red power button let you reset the system and go to basic prompt. You can choose 2 cart slot, 2 floppy and 1 cassete files. When you are in ugly browser after press x in the file who has the * it will load the file, later you will see reset the system and load is done
  • I wait that this can help to developers really interested in homebrew if you want backups this is not for you. Respect the licenses from fMSX part please.
