The first PlayStation Store flash sale of 2020 is here and Sony is kicking things off with a two-week long PSN Games Under $20 promotion featuring discounts of up to 50% select titles including GTA V, Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered, Outer Wilds and more to ring in the new year!

Lately there's been a surge of PS4 Game PKG's normally requiring higher Firmware that PlayStation 4 scene developers have been able to 'backport' to work on lower Firmware including Jailbroken PS4 5.05-5.07 Consoles following the PS4 Backporting Instructions to Play 6.72 Games on 5.05 Firmware. 
In recent weeks a PKGTool bug fix was discovered by 3226_2143 and developer m4xton committed a Fix integer overflow in PKGTool parallel extraction (PS4 PKG Tool GUI) on the LibOrbisPkg GIT to extract game files properly.

New Resident Evil 3: Nemesis PlayStation 4 Trailer Video by Capcom
Proceeding their initial announcement, video game developer Capcom just released a new Resident Evil 3: Nemesis PS4 trailer video which showcases RE3's monstrous makeover featuring fresh screenshots alongside Raccoon City's destinations, survivors, Umbrella soldiers and more!

The upcoming RE3 remake capitalizes on the exciting expansion of Raccoon City delivered in the 1999 original, boosted by Capcom's modern enhancements.
A new trailer and batch of screens sheds further light on the iconic Nemesis's reimagined look and the chaotic Raccoon City. The fresh look also offers a few tantalizing tastes of where the remake detours from the original release, with new faces, shops and more.
Nemesis is the star of the new trailer, showcasing his trademark determination and arsenal. His classic rocket launcher returns, but he also boasts a flamethrower this time.
Jill should keep her distance from Nemesis at all costs. If his 1999 iteration is any indication – he's faster than he looks.
In the 1999 original, Nemesis could prematurely end Jill's escape by grabbing her head, lifting her aloft, and unleashing one of his infectious tentacles through his palm. Does that lethal technique return in the RE3 remake?

Sony Confirms PlayStation is Skipping the E3 2020 Annual Event
Following suit with last year, Sony officially announced they're skipping the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo event known as E3 2020 this year running from June 9-11th in Los Angeles California as well. 
Confirmed to GamesIndustry.biz, here's Sony Interactive Entertainment's official reasoning on why they've decided to pass on the E3 show again to quote:
"After thorough evaluation SIE has decided not to participate in E3 2020. We have great respect for the ESA as an organization, but we do not feel the vision of E3 2020 is the right venue for what we are focused on this year.
We will build upon our global events strategy in 2020 by participating in hundreds of consumer events across the globe. Our focus is on making sure fans feel part of the PlayStation family and have access to play their favorite content.
We have a fantastic line up of titles coming to PlayStation 4, and with the upcoming launch of PlayStation 5, we are truly looking forward to a year of celebration with our fans."
According to the latest PS5 rumors, Sony is expected to officially unveil their upcoming PlayStation 5 console at a PlayStation Meeting event reported to take place next month.

- The console design, controller, UI/home screen, certain features, console specs, talk from third parties/indie publishers, as well as announcements for PS5 exclusives will be shown.
- Buzz words for the console's features include "little to no load times", "blazing fast downloads", "immersive controls", "modular installs for games, download whatever", "disc drive included", and "download the games, or stream the games as an option" (we're looking at you Stadia)
- PlayStation Now plays a vital role. You can either access games through a subscription fee or own the games out right. Sony (for a limited time) will bundle a 3-month PS Now subscription with the PS5 in select regions in an effort to promote the service to many new owners
- Remote Play is a big feature too, allowing to play your PS5 games on your smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop. Play those game anywhere, so long there's a Wi-Fi or cellular connection. The console will act as the database for those games to be streamed wherever
