Load HEN & Debug Settings Payload Using 4.55 Kernel Exploit without having to send payloads using NETCAT.

Summary

In this project you will find a full implementation of the "bpf" kernel exploit for the PlayStation 4 on 4.55. It will allow you to run arbitrary code as kernel, to allow jailbreaking and kernel-level modifications to the system. This release however, does not contain any code related to defeating anti-backups mechanisms or running homebrew. This exploit does include a loader that listens for payloads on port 9020 and will execute them upon receival.

This bug was discovered by qwertyoruiopz, and can be found hosted on his website here.

• Edit Payload With [PLAIN]HXD[/PLAIN]
• Find & Change IP Address from 192.168.88.87 to Your PS4 IP 192.168.xxx.xxx
• Save Payload
• Send Payload Using Netcat

nc.exe -w 3 `PS4IP` 9020 < PS4FTP.bin

• Open Filezilla & Connect to PS4

The whole kexploit conception (more controllable bpf behaviour without any postfixes) is better on the 4.55, but overall stability is doubtful and requires more efforts to achieve.

The previous exploits used to show a error CE-30129-5 before entering a menu in debug settings. With new version this has now gone. Just noticed in the external HD’s memu there is a new option ignore external hdd restrictions.

Now that xvortex released his v1.4 that supports 4.55 . I can say that 4.55 is more stable than 4.05 on my ps4 slim. Needed 3 tries to get the you are all set message but no kernel panics nor shutdowns.... im using android app ps4serve2 v 1.5 ... excellent work. Scene rocks !!!! Now im gonna try ext hdd!! As my 2tb internal is full )

Funny Info : To keep the Hen running after Rest Most you have to enable it first i feel stupid

So to keep the payloads run after rest mode do the following ;;;

1- go to Setting > Power Saving Settings > Set Features in Rest Mode >> And then Check the box says " Keep Application Suspended"

Main wasn't checked So everytime i go to the Rest Mode I had to re-send the payload ,, now that i checked the box NO need to re-send the payload
now it will work no matter what type of the "HEN' payload you send

Ohhh i moved a game in ext hdd formated as external storage only to find out that the game will not launch. it throws error . cannot start the application ce-38612-0. thats just sad. when game is moved back to intern ps4 hdd the game lauches fine.....

so we cannot use a ext storage to move games as they will not launch... this is bad...!!!

@sabasoor i have that option clicked and if i go to rest mode . next time i poweron my ps4 slim it doesnt load the hen.. it doesnt even go to rest mode properly as whrn i power it on i see on screen entering rest mode screen still.. you know y ? i sent the xvortex payload with the ps4serv2 1.5 android app...
