This comes following the PS4 6.72 to 5.05 Backporting Tutorial, SELFUtil by Znullptr, PS4 RiPKiT/Modding/Cheat/BackPort Tool and EZ PS4 Downporter utility for backporting 6.72 games to run on 5.05 Firmware with a Jailbroken console.

Here are some PS4 Backporter v1.0.exe notes from his Tweets below:

• Still very much work in progress and has a few bugs. Will release a new version later. A known bug right now is that you can't set the output path to the root of the drive. If you do it wont save the final pkg file.
  
  
• Also won't work with EA titles right now. Due to all the extra patching that's needed to get those games working.
  
  
• Drag pkg file into "input pkg file". Click the button.

This tool includes and makes use of:

• Python Downgrade Scripts by Flat_z
• UnfSelf by @DimosGsxR
• gengp4 by XVortex

You must have installed:

• Python 2.7
• Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Update 3 RC

These are required for the tool to work correctly ^^^

Thanks for the hard work, but is there a reason why the tool still takes forever to extract even when I choose the patch option? The extraction bar doesn't progress. Im trying to backport patch Ni no kuni white witch 21GB game

Follow up to earlier observation, same thing happens with CUSA10872 and CUSA14927. That strengthens my theory on the source of the issue!

Let me know if you have any idea on how to solve the issue?

@MODDEDWARFARE great work!

I have python 2.7 installed (and PATH set on Windows 10), but every time I try to backport (with v1.3), on the middle of the process, opens my VS Code with the file "downgrade_elf.py". Tried with steps and it opens VS Code on the second step.

Someone else had this problem too?

anyone successfully have this tool back port sonic racing ? I can't get the base or update pkg to make a valid patch. error codes on the splash screen almost immediately. Just curious. And major thanks to @MODDEDWARFARE

can i download python 2.7 32 bit and microsoft c++ 32 bit runtime enviornment myself and then will this backporting tool work for me modded warfare or some body from the community please answer and confirm i would really be grateful ...cant upgrade to 64 bit machine not enough ram also i would be loosing all my data... thanks in advance really great Piece of software out there but why only for 64 bit...
