PS4 System Software / Firmware 5.53 Released, Don't Update!

Following the PS Vita Firmware 3.68 Update earlier this week and their previous PS4 OFW, it appears Sony is once again on the warpath with yet another PS4 System Software / Firmware 5.53 update which 'improves system performance' via patching more holes that could be exploited by PS4 hackers to allow jailbreaking and homebrew... so needless to say, DON'T UPDATE!

Update: PlayStation scene developer @Mathieulh confirmed on Twitter that PS4 OFW 5.53 fixes the currently available WebKit Exploit, and those interested in comparing revisions can grab the latest 5.53 WebKit here: webkit-601_2_7-553.zip (788 MB)

Just noticed the MD5 (in the link itself) for each FW, regardless of region is the same: 353dd0c9f62bdf16a9e843e6d3edfcfd

So is it just a case of locality to download it from nearer server?

@xneal01 neither... Luca said he has 5.00... back in october. we are STILL waiting for him to release that one which he usually does about 10 months to a year after. so maybe in August or so we get Kexploit 5.00
