Who leaked/Decrypted them?
Well given that shuffle2 wrote the fail0verflow articles and loves emulators it was most likely his criminal dumb ass. Or it was vpikhur but he cool, so I wouldnt care. Or it was the Save Wizard asswipes, aka Wayne Hughes Beckett - an old employee of Datel, who have the rom.

Is this anything at this time? I might be wrong but doesent the download-decrypt mean we can just read the curent firmware and kernel means we can install a slightly modded firmware of the original ? not an exploit or jailbreak yet right ?

since the last of us 2 will be released in February, wouldn't it be fair to think that you need 7.xx firmware to run?

If this were the case, developers could be led to launch an exploit based no longer on firmware 6.xx, but on firmware 7.xx.

@PSXHAX Thanks. I've loaded 80010002.elf in ghidra and it does appear to be the kernel.

@psdan The exploit chain is all the steps needed to run unsigned code. So web exploit, kernel exploit, jailbreak ...

Thanks for the confirmation... I figured it was closest to the size of the 4.55 kernel previously released.

Still wish I knew which app the NPXS24001 dump was from, ever since THIS it wouldn't surprise me if pieces to the puzzle were all public and nobody put them together yet. :p

I have a few serious questions that I need answering.
1. Will we ever see a possible 6.xx CFW in the near future.
2. Will the 7.00 CFW update be out before the 6.72 CFW
And Last but not least.
3. I'm still on the 6.72 OFW, should I just wait for the update.

@Hazza98
1. dont know anything about cfws. future jailbreaks definitely.
2. again, nobody knows anything about cfws. at this moment not gonna happen.
3. stay on low fw as long as you can. you need to be patient. there have been no new jailbreak releases after 5.05 for over a year. maybe it will take another year, maybe not. nobody knows.
