Since their previous revision and the 8.00 PS4 Beta, today Sony pushed live the latest 'system performance' update in PS4 System Software / Firmware 7.55 which many suspect fixes one of the recently reported vulnerabilities in the PlayStation Bug Bounty Program. :geek:

If this is the case, here's to hoping whoever cashed in on it will follow in the footsteps of theflow0 and after getting $ony's approval (disclosure log) publicly release the exploit that lead to the last PS4 Jailbreak so that scene developers can further examine the latest findings. <3

:alert: As always DON'T UPDATE if you wish to use PS4 game backups and homebrew apps whenever a new PS4 jailbreak exploit arrives, and we'll add any related Tweets below as PlayStation 4 scene developers have a chance to examine it.

@DarkShinigami
Those with the highest bounties have probably discovered something extremely critical especially that dude who got $40,000.00 and just before two months he got $25,000.00 !!

not to mention he got also $2,500.00 4 times in the past
probably somethings that have to do with not just the software but the hardware too

Maybe now we will get jailbreaks early since PS5 release date is pretty close and Sony would like to sell the remaining stock. It will be pointless to buy new PS4 console after PS5, only used ones will circulate for few years.

@Viggen66 I agree 100%. There are actually several ways to host/cache the exploit w/o having to go online. ESP is one of them, others include Wifi SD-Card, local network web server (Linux or Windows), I believe there is an Android host app, then there are always ones like PS-Phwoar that can load the web cache directly from a USB drive.

Or the more common is to connect to the inet once, cache the exploit from any of a number of public sources then disconnect. I have used all except the Android and inet connected one. Our PS4s have never touched the Internet despite being on our local LAN.

I am guessing those that still connect to the inet do so for apps like Netflix or Amazon Prime for streaming? TBH it would seem safer to just spend $40 on a Roku or other streamer and keep the PS4 offline.
