PS4 CFW and Hacks

Following my previous PlayStation 4 trainers (Bloodborne, Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3 and NIOH) I started working on a Custom RTE tool and ended up making PS4 Game Breaker (a private tool used by PS4 Source community modders)... but still, it doesn't suit my needs because the lack of a good cheat data structure.

So again I took the time needed to do it and here we are releasing my new tool PS4 REAPER!

PS4 Reaper is a kind of swiss knife for game modders, it include a multitude of debugging and RTE tools and also save and load mod as custom trainer format.

This tool should help people make more advance cheat and share them with the community. The tool is still in early state (beta) and may contain bugs, so your feedback is important to enhance it.

Hello! After my BwE PS4 WiFi / BT Patcher & Extractor this program BwE PS4 NOR Statistics v1.00 followed by Version 1.1, another micro version of my PS4 NOR Validator, is designed solely to validate your NOR based on statistics only from Better Way Electronics!

Why make this you ask? Entropy and statistics are a well used methodology in the malware analysis field to determine if a binary file is encrypted, and by how much.

What is entropy? Entropy is a method for measuring uncertainty in a series of numbers or bytes. In technical terms, entropy measures the level of difficulty or the probability of independently predicting each number in the series.

What has this got to do with PS4s? Well the PS4's NOR is almost entirely encrypted and so with a collection of known valid NOR's it is possible to determine the level of entropy that represents a valid NOR and what level of entropy would represent a corrupt NOR.

When corruption occurs it will generally wipe out a large chuck of the NOR, cause the NOR to repeat itself or will fill the NOR with junk. All of this will decrease or severely increase the entropy.

Seeing as the PS4 firmware is likely to add more or less complexity with each update I have made available a settings file where you can adjust the predicted statistics.

Based on LaiNES for PS4 5.05 jailbroken consoles, today m0rph3us1987 updated his PS4NES Nintendo Entertainment System emulator port to version 1.01 with the changes outlined below.

This comes following his initial release and previous revision of the PS4 NES Emulator for PlayStation 4.

And from the included Readme.txt in EP0001-PNES00001_00-RELEASE000000001-A0100-V0101_V505.rar, to quote: Whats new in version 1.01?

1) Rom list can now be scrolled using d-pad.
2) NES select buttons has been mapped to ps4 touchpad button.
3) Rom folder can be configured in /mnt/usb0/ps4nes/config.json
4) Minimal improvement in audio output.

How to use?

1) Copy the ps4nes folder on the root of your usb drive.
2) Change "roms_path" in config.json to the location where your roms are.
3) Install pkg on ps4 and have fun

Since his History Blocker Payload and following the Guide to Dump PS4 Disc Games and PS4 Game Backup / Decryption Tutorial, PlayStation 4 developer @stooged made available a DiscDump 50X payload to copy / dump content and files from a PS4 optical drive to a USB HDD on jailbroken 5.05 Firmware alongside a PKG_BACKUP-50X (including PKG_BACKUP.bin) which is also a payload to backup game PKGs to USB drive in PS4.
