USB Fake Packages PS4 Jailbreak Tool for 4.55 by SpecialFood
This weekend developer SpecialFood (aka mtnjustarie) made available a new PS4 Jailbreak Tool called USB Fake Packages based on the PKG2USB by SiSTRO and AppToUsb by @stooged. :fire:

Download: USB Fake Packages (Latest Release) / 4.55_SpecialFood_USBFakePackages_1.0c.bin / 4.55_SpecialFood_USBFakePackages_1.01.bin / payload.js / 5.05_SpecialFood_USBFakePackages_1.1b.bin / 5.05_SpecialFood_USBFakePackages_1.11.bin / homebrew.js / USBFakePackages.cfg / USBPackageFileNameElements.txt / GIT

Spoiler: Depreciated

To quote from the README.md: USB Fake Packages

USB Fake Packages is a tool I've made for the PS4 Jailbreak, based on version 4.55 and probably won't work on 4.05 so I wouldn't suggest trying.

MiraHEN PS4 4.55 Port by CrazyVoidProgrammer and Demo Video
Following the Developers Release of MiraFW: Project Mira v1.0 by OpenOrbis comes a PS4 4.55 Port by @CrazyVoid (aka CrazyVoidProgrammer) on his Github fork and an ELF and binary compiled by @pearlxcore via Twitter:

Download: MiraFW_Orbis_455.elf (2.06 MB) / MiraFW_Orbis_455.bin (0.05 MB) / ESP8266_PS4_RetroGamerFirmV3 / GIT

I also built the binaries, elf and bin successfully and below is a demonstration video of it running and sniffing for those interested. I also converted bin into js to injected it as a payload thru website.

In the PS4Admin web page (http://ps4admin.retrogamer.tech) I did an update and I added the CFW option menu to inject this MiraHEN.

There is no too much information or any notification when you inject it.

But once you finished you can go to your Windows or Linux and try a "telnet PS4-IP 9998". It means do a telnet connection, again your PS4 IP, and using the port 9998.

Then you should see all of the debugging information from PS4 and also the debug and test messages from MiraHEN. So that means it's working.

If you want to see it live in, I did a live thru YT when I show it. My language is Spanish so if you don't want to be bored listening something you don't understand then jump to minute 8 and so on. You will see it in action.

MiraFW: Project Mira v1.0 Developers Release by OpenOrbis Arrives
Proceeding several revisions of PS4 Offsets for payloads, the OpenOrbis Team have now made available a MiraFW Project Mira v1.0 Developers Release for scene devs to check out! :ninja:

This comes following both the initial Mira PS4 CFW news with a Milestones page now live and @SpecterDev's announcement that a 5.05 PS4 Jailbreak is also in the works by PlayStation 4 developers. :fire:

Download: MiraFW_Orbis501-symbols.elf / MiraFW_Orbis501.bin / MiraFW_Orbis505-symbols.elf / MiraFW_Orbis505.bin / Source code (zip) / Source code (tar.gz) / Latest Release / GIT

From the updated README.md, to quote: The Mira Project

The Mira Project is a set of tools that grants you more power and control over your jailbroken Playstation 4. It is the result of all the hard work by the OpenOrbis team.

It works differently to the custom firmware experience on Playstation 3, where CFW would be installed on the system via modified PUP files (e.g. Rebug), however once the framework is installed and ran it gives users the same functionality they were previously used to.

Firmware

Formerly known as MiraHEN, this has now been developed into a full custom firmware. Thanks to everyone who helped Mira reach a 1.0 beta goal (May 20...

These are the rooms being used in the development of Kurok: Escape From Lost Land for PS4. These rooms are used to test various aspects of the game as they're developed. Testing things like new frameworks, particle systems and effects, physics, movement, weapons and sounds.

Main Features:
  • Controller Support
  • Climbable walls
  • Able to Duck down
  • Able to Jump
  • Walking button

NOTE: In version v0.1; in order to use the buggy car, you must have a keyboard plugged in and you must press W to move forward while using the controller stick to steer. this will be fixed in a future release as Vehicles become fully supported.

Furthermore, under certain circumstances it seems keyboards do not work in game for some ps4 owners and it is currently unknown why this is.

This post should also be considered an announcement of the development of a Kurok homebrew for PS4.

PS4 Traffic Shaper to Decrease Latency and Increase Throughput
We've seen tips on Improving the PS4 Connection Speed, and recently developer Ssshoema made available a PS4 Traffic Shaper for TC (Traffic Control) QDISC (Queuing Discipline) network shaping to decrease latency and increase throughput on gaming consoles. :geekxf2:

Download: PS4-traffic-shaper-master.zip / GIT

From the README.md file, to quote: PS4 traffic shaper

Initially based on wondershaper 1.4 (The recent wondershaper version)

Goal 1 - Reduce gaming bufferbloat, prioritize PS4 console, and port priority for Destiny 2. Goal 2 - Not to block or "severely" minimalize traffic for the rest of LAN.

Using tc qdisc to shape the ingress and egress of network with prioritization on the PS4 gaming system and Destiny 2 game with port, TOS, ICMP, and <64 byte packet prioritization.

There are multiple methods available for network shaping so a google search may yield better solutions for traffic shaping in your case. This is not intended as an all encompassing solution. Mileage may vary for multiple reasons.

Setup for this implementation is a Linux gateway PC with 2 NIC's one facing the internet and the other facing my LAN. This shaping script is used on the internet facing NIC.

HTB/SFQ shaping in this instance was stable and was easily editable for fine tuning of classes, ports, and ingress/egress traffic. Again, there are multiple shaping algorithm possibilities which may provide better results.

Most scripts I studied were schemed towards a high priority, rest of traffic priority (medium), and low priority(non-desired traffic). This script classes are designed to not "squelch" any traffic but to tier traffic in such that my PS4, along with other high priority ip traffic that impacts gaming, is prioritized but all remaining network traffic does not nor is intended to suffer severely from the higher prioritization while the PS4 is in use (unless you want it to).

Port prioritization for PS4/Destiny 2 traffic is based on online port documentation and culling port information from IPTRAF during game play for the PS4 IP...
