PS4 Jailbreaking

Today PlayStation 4 developer @Reazer (aka ReazerDev) let us know on Twitter that he made available a PS4 Tool.apk with source code coming for Android owners to inject PlayStation 4 payloads alongside some updates below!

Simply Download any Payload and put it in the PS4 Tool Folder on your Android Device. (Open the App once to get the Folder), and select it in the Dropdown. Enter your IP and click Inject!

How To Use

Payload Sender

• Go into Settings and type in your PS4's IP Address
• Open an Exploit page on your PS4
• Send the selected Payload

Fan Control

• Go into Settings and type in your PS4's IP Address
• Open an Exploit page on your PS4
• Choose the temperature when your Fan should start spinning, by moving the slider
• Click on Send

Following my previous release, I put together an Android app to host the 4.55 exploit and payloads.

You have to setup a wifi hotspot with your phone/tablet and connect the PS4 to that hotspot or connect the phone/tablet to the same network the PS4 is on.

Then install the app and open it and at the top will be the address you need to connect to with the PS4.

Your device might ask you about installing an application from "unknown sources" this is ok to allow, it just means its not coming from Google Play.

You just select the payload you want to run in the app and then use the PS4 to goto the address that you see in the app.

To change the payload just select it in the app and then use the ps4 to revisit/refresh the address again.

you can add more payloads to the app you just plug your phone into your computer and copy any payload BIN file you like into the PS4_455_Payloads directory.

Right now the 4.55 exploit and hen payload are really unstable and you will have to try loading it again and again until the exploit works and payload injects properly.

You will get a lot of "There is not enough free system memory" errors, just select ok and keep trying

Once you fight it enough the payload will work and you will be able to install and play pkg games.

Following the PS4Brew Full PS4 4.55 Jailbreak news earlier today, PlayStation 4 developer m0rph3us1987 has now released the PS4 4.55 Holy Grail ps4_455_holygrail.bin PS4HEN (PS4 Homebrew ENabler) payload with special thanks to flat_z which allows users to run PS4 Package (PKG) files of both backup games (as confirmed by @Donely, behnamzed, karloromeo, GrimDoe and Andrew Marques) and homebrew applications!

Since the PS4 4.55 Kernel Exploit release followed by the PS4 5.01 WebKit Exploit, PlayStation 4 developer @SpecterDev made available on Twitter a fully implemented Cryptogenic PS4 4.55 Kernel Exploit akin to his previous one in that it doesn't contain code related to defeating anti-backups mechanisms... meaning most should take heed of @flatz's advice on Twitter and hold off updating from 4.05 to 4.55 OFW if you lack the necessary skills to port payloads or wait for other forks to surface as in 4.05 first before updating.

According to a screenshot (below) from @Mathieulh on Twitter, PS4 developer m0rph3us1987 shared a ps4_455_holygrail.bin (67.7 KB) private payload containing flat_z's Debug PKG and FSELF code which Rebug developer @Joonie replied to on Twitter with the file's MD5 hash of 38F5E677A543EF93FB9A75096F983F89 for those on the hunt... good luck!

Yesterday we saw the release of a PS4 4.55 Kernel Exploit, and today 73n1x69 shared a Github repository from ALEXZZZ9 (Twitter) of ax9.me for a PS4 5.01 WebKit Exploit PoC (Proof of Concept) with some additional details on what it could mean once PlayStation 4 developers examine it.

While PS4 scene developers have a chance to look it over, thus far @Al Azif let us know in the PSXHAX Shoutbox that, to quote: "It successfully dumps libkernel and libSceWebKit2 ... but yeah it's real" while others are reporting that it also works on PS4 5.05 OFW and even PS4 5.50 Beta 3 (alongside another PS4 5.50 WebKit Exploit) so expect Sony to patch...
