In a recent interview with Famitsu Magazine, Sony's Yasuhiro Osaki confirmed that PlayStation 5 will support their digital streaming and downloading video game subscription service PlayStation Now, and TechTastic.nl also discovered a patent utilizing similar technology to Google's Stadia to reduce latency while gaming online.
"Sony revealed that the streaming service PS Now will also be available on PS5. The info comes through an interview with Sony Interactive Entertainment network division's Yasuhiro Osaki. The interview is included in this week's Famitsu magazine.
Yasuhiro Osaki also spoke on upcoming changes regarding PS Now. Basically, more popular games will be added to PS Now every month, but the number of time-limited additions will also increase.
The interview also reveals how Sony has currently no plans to bring PS Now to smartphones."
And from the Network Connected Controller for Direct to Cloud GamingPatent abstract, to quote:
"A controller device for user interactivity with a server of a cloud gaming system is provided, including the following: at least one input device that generates inputs for the server; wherein the controller device communicates directly to an access device for connection to a network that connects the controller device to the server without connecting to a client device; wherein the server receives and processes the inputs to render gameplay video that is transmitted over the network for rendering to a display device that is local to the controller device."
Since his YouTube Issues PlayStation 4 homebrew developer @MODDEDWARFARE returns releasing on Twitter a PS4 Patch Builder application used for building modded Update Packages (PKGs) alongside a video tutorial on his YouTube Channel!
He states the new PlayStation 4 Patch Builder tool makes it both quicker and easier to create / build modded update PKG files for PS4 games than the previous update package methods.
Trick or treat?! Since their previous PS Vita OFW revision, today Sony pushed live a PlayStation Vita System Software / Firmware 3.73 Update leaving many curious if they patched the H-Encore 2 Jailbreak Exploit finally or not... according to SKGleba they haven't yet.
Below is the PS Vita 3.73 Firmware update changelog from Sony's official page: System Software Update 3.73
Main features in system software update version 3.73
This system software update improves system performance.
Needless to say, it's advisable NOT to update as most PlayStation Vita sceners got a PS Vita or PlayStation TV to do fun stuff like jailbreaking, running exploits and homebrew on the handheld console.
As always, we'll add related Tweets from PlayStation Vita scene devs below as they have a chance to examine this latest 3.73 PS Vita Firmware update further to determine what 'system performance' improvements Sony added.
Update: According to PSSDude, PartyPlugin.rco was also updated changing some Party App text as outlined on Pastebin.com.

Contrary to the potential PSVR2 Patent that superimposes a computer-generated image on a user's view of the real world, the latest PlayStation Augmented Reality (AR) Wireless Headset Patent by Sony Interactive Entertainment uncovered from the Japan Patent Office aims to add digital elements to a live view via multiple stereoscopic cameras.
"The Sony headset can be used wirelessly and can be connected via Bluetooth to a PlayStation console or a computer. The operation is via the game controller or a keyboard, depending on the medium (console or PC) that the gamer uses.
In addition, the patent description states that the headset can also be used in combination with a smartphone or tablet. So you can also play mobile AR games via the headset. By implementing the AR headset wirelessly, the user retains much more freedom of movement. Furthermore, the patent speaks about the possible addition of a USB and an HMDI connection.
In this patent, incidentally, only the technology is recorded and not so much the design. The images are for illustrative purposes only, so Sony could opt for a completely different design. In addition, the description states that the number of stereoscopic cameras used may differ."

Whether this recently patented Sony technology will make its way to their upcoming PlayStation 5 Console scheduled to launch during the 2020 holiday season remains to be seen.
