PS4 6.10 Beta Firmware Includes New PSN Online ID Change Feature
Earlier this month Sony announced that a PSN Online ID Change feature was coming to PS4 Beta Testers, and since PlayStation 4 Firmware 6.02 rolled out last week many including @ZachZS received an invitation for testing the PS4 6.10 Beta Firmware which incorporates the PSN Online ID Change feature with some hefty Terms and Conditions (below) as Miku Maekawa reveals... leaving some deciding not to change their PlayStation Network Online Identification after all. :cautiousxf2:

To quote from the PSN Online ID Change Terms and Conditions: Change Online ID Overview

As part of the System Software 6.10 preview, we are rolling out the upcoming Change Online ID system feature. As a preview user you will be able to change your Online ID using the new system tools.

To use this feature please ensure you have a clear understanding of the implications of changing your Online ID and the software’s restrictions – described in the following sections – before software installation. If you are unsure, do not download and install the Preview Program software.

Important Information Before Changing your Online ID:

Not all games and applications for PS4, PS3, PS Vita, and other PlayStation systems support the Online ID change feature. If you change your Online ID:
  • You may lose access to content (including paid-for content) that you have acquired for your games, including content like add-ons and virtual currency.
  • You may lose your progress within games, including game saved data, leaderboard data and progress toward trophies.
  • Parts of your games and applications might not function...
MEMAPI PS4 API Server, Library and Debugger by LudicrousBeach
Since his previous Web Browser Patch and recent update, PlayStation 4 developer LudicrousBeach (aka McCaulay) made available both a PS4 API Server / Client Payload Library dubbed MEMAPI v1.0.0 alongside a MEMAPI Debugger for PS4 5.05 jailbroken consoles with details below. :biggrinxf2:

Download: memapi-server.bin / MEMAPI Server GIT / MEMAPI.dll / MEMAPI Library GIT / MEMAPI.Debugger.exe / memapi_debugger_setup_1.0.0.exe / MEMAPI Debugger GIT

To quote from Ludicrous Beach on the MEMAPI releases via NGU: MEMAPI v1.0.0 [5.05]

Introduction

This API allows you to communicate with your PS4 to perform various functions such as reading memory, writing memory, sending notifications and a bunch more things similar to other peoples releases such as BISOONs PS4Lib, but they had issues such as didn't use generics or didn't quite suite my needs.

I've released this open source to allow others to improve it, make pull requests on github so we can improve the code as a community.

This software comes in two parts, the server side which is a payload that executes on your PS4, and the client side library which you can import as a reference in your own project to be able to issue these commands such as writing and reading memory.

I'll also invest in some time to write some tutorials on using this software both in as textual threads and as videos over the coming weeks.

I understand that I will probably be doing the most...
Marvel's Spider-Man: The Heist PS4 DLC Launches on PlayStation 4
Spidey fans get set as Marvel's Spider-Man: The Heist PS4 DLC officially launches on PlayStation 4 today featuring a new story chapter starring the elusive Black Cat and adding three fresh new suits! :kitty:

Here's more from Game Director Ryan Smith at Insomniac Games via PlayStation Blog, to quote:

Today we launched our first chapter of DLC in Marvel's Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps – Marvel's Spider-Man: The Heist. This chapter includes new missions, enemies, suits, and, of course, a new story starring none other than Black Cat herself.

While investigating the robbery of a New York art museum, Spider-Man and Mary Jane Watson find themselves closing in on criminal super villain Felicia Hardy, aka Black Cat. The chase will take Spidey and MJ deep into Manhattan's shadowy world of crime families.

Players will be able to unlock three new suits, including a new, original Resilient Suit designed exclusively for Marvel's Spider-Man by famed Marvel illustrator Gabriele Dell'Otto. You'll also be able to discover new collectibles and earn trophies from challenges.

One of my favorite parts of the game is J Jonah Jameson's “Just the Facts” in-game podcast. I crack a smile every time one of his episodes comes on while I'm swinging through the city – for some reason I never get tired of his ranting.

JJJ is back at it again in Marvel's Spider-Man: The Heist, and we've got a new video that captures what's happening in the city during Spider-Man’s search for the feline felon. Check it out!

Marvel's Spider-Man: The Heist PS4 - Just the Facts
Marvel's Spider-Man: The Heist costs $9.99 USD MSRP on its own, or you can buy all three Marvel's Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps chapters for $24.99 USD MSRP either at your local retailer or on PlayStation Store. You can purchase the whole bundle to get the best deal, which is available for pre-order now*!

And for those of you who haven't played the main game yet, you might consider the Digital Deluxe Edition of Marvel's Spider-Man, which includes all three Marvel's Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps chapters* along with all the cool content that comes with it for $79.99...
PS4 Remote Package (PKG) Installer & Instructions by Flat_z
It appears Halloween treats are coming early this year to the PlayStation 4 scene, as following his FSELF Loader via Server developer @flatz passed along on Twitter some Instructions for a PS4 Remote Package (PKG) Installer meaning there's no need to use a USB / External HDD any longer. :pumpkin:

Download: remote_pkg_installer.pkg (4.1 MB) / remote_pkg_installer.pkg (4.1 MB - Fixed for Windows Users) / remote_pkg_installer.pkg (4.1 MB)

According to his Tweets below, "it does exactly the same as S0ny when they install packages from their CDN, but think that mine allows you to use any host as storage, installation equals to downloading plus meta data unpacking on PS4."

To quote from the remote_pkg_installer.txt: Instructions for Remote Package Installer

Requirements:
  • Any exploit on 4.5x+
  • HEN 1.8 (you could get it from zecoxao's page) or any other kernel payload (it just need to have fPKG stuff and /data mount patches for ShellCore that I've posted recently)
Here is the first version of remote package installer that I made a few days ago, it have no GUI yet (it just displays a splash screen), but all the job could already be done via Web API that you could access remotely from your PC using any of available tools that you prefer: a custom web server or an application, NodeJS scripts, etc. No more need to use USB flash drives or external hard drives for your packages, everything could be done remotely.

One important thing: to be able to use this tool for receiving commands you need to have this application in focus (not in a background, because PS4 will suspend it and it won't be possible to use network anymore). After you send a command (to install game, for example), wait some time (I...
Siscon: PS4 Syscon System Controller Firmware Decrypter by Zecoxao
Following the PS4 Syscon Decapping, PS4 Aux Hax research and his recent PS4 HEN version 1.8 Live Demo (GIT - added to PS4 Exploit Host v0.4.6 Alpha1), today PlayStation 4 developer @zecoxao shared via Twitter his latest Github commit dubbed Siscon which is a PS4 Syscon System Controller firmware decrypter allowing further comparison and examination by scene devs. :ninja:

Download: siscon-master.zip / GIT / PS4 Syscon Research & Development Repository

As mentioned in the Tweets embedded below, he reminds those planning to use it "decrypts syscon fw updates from PS4 devkit consoles (you need to provide the keys yourself, but they're not hard to find)"

PS4 HEN 1.8 via mohammadfadel
Download: ps3_syscon_decrypt_tool.py (828 Bytes - script by SocraticBliss, atm it only decrypts the dia-002/deb-001 patch)
