Since their last expansion, today Sony announced the addition of two new PS4 FPS games to their PlayStation Tournaments: Open Series roster... specifically Apex Legends and Rainbow Six Siege for those seeking to compete!

With the addition of Apex Legends and Rainbow Six Siege to the Open Series, FPS fans will have an expanded range of options when deciding to squad up with friends. We’re delighted to keep motivating fans to Play, Watch, and Learn with these fan-favorite titles coming to the PlayStation Tournaments: Open Series in September.

The Competition Center currently features 17 Open Series competitions across a broad range of genres for players of all levels to improve, build reputations, and win exciting prizes. Our team is dedicated to growing the community through even more Open Series games in the future, but first let’s explore our new additions.

Apex Legends

Play one of 18 Legends, ready up with friends, and survive in this innovative hero shooter game. Every match starts the same way. Teams must pick a landing spot, then loot for weapons. The real strategy comes from understanding when to fight or run based on your health, position, and equipment.

With the latest Emergence update, it’s never been a better time for newcomers to play Apex Legends and explore tons of fresh content, including new maps and cosmetics! Squad up with friends, then aim for first place in custom Open Series lobbies.

You might even learn a new trick from the competition. Outscore opponents through kills and placements in any of the four open qualifiers to reach the Monthly Final. Discover new strategies or show off your coordination for greater cash prizes.

"The new heatsink is significantly smaller than the original, and makes up for the entire weight reduction of 300 grams (0.6 pounds), according to Evans. It’s not clear why Sony has swapped out the heatsink so early on in the PS5’s lifecycle, but Evans does note that his particular unit ran hotter as a result — with rear exhaust temperatures around 3 to 5 degrees higher. That could be down to manufacturing variance, though."

Proceeding the PS5 DualSense Prototype Motherboard, DualSense Wireless Controller Teardown Images, PS5 Controller Skins, PS5 DualSense Controller Disassembly Video with Faceplate Removal, DualSense PS5 Controller on Windows, DualSense Controller Python Script and his recent PS5 HD Camera Firmware / Files Dump developer @Hackinside (Twitter) dumped the PS5 DualSense Controller Firmware this weekend using a Beagle USB 5000 protocol analyzer device.

According to PSXDev and @zecoxao on Twitter the PS5 DualSense Controller Firmware Dump is currently encrypted, however, once decryption is accomplished by PS5 Scene devs it would be possible to perform controller handshakes with both the PlayStation 5 and other devices!

Following the PlayStation 4 Save Mounter initial release, PS4 Save Mounter for 7.55 fork, PS4 Save Mounter Tutorial and my recent PS4 Cheater v1.5.4.5 release here are some PS4 Save Mounter (Unofficial) Port updates from me (_ctn123 on Twitter).

I started using Save Mounter few days ago but some things annoyed me to no end, so I tried to make it a little better.

Update: I took down the Save Mounter (v1.9.0 / v1.9.1) builds temporarily while I fix some critical bugs that might result in a corrupted save. Fixed a few nasty late minute bugs.
