For those who haven't had a chance to read it yet, @GregoryRasputin of PlayStationhax.xyz summarized a complete history of the PlayStation 3 console on an archival site called PS3History.net with help from his friend NeoSabin.

Here is an excerpt from his Introduction Page, to quote: I have seen many websites talk about the history of games consoles and whilst those websites are great, they don't go into the detail that i have with PS3History, I wanted to post the PS3's journey, EVERY aspect about its life, all the good and bad that has happened during that journey, nothing has been left out and nothing has been spared, this is the naked, unadulterated life of the PlayStation 3.

I have attempted to gather every piece of information that is possible to gather, not everyone will like it, the hardcore Sony fanboys will cry that it is all about PS3 Hacks, but no, its not, it involves every part of the PS3's life and yes that life includes hacks, to do a complete history, one must include everything.

Recently we received word from EpicError of some PS3 demo videos which appear to show Gears of War 3 running on PlayStation 3 with unreleased GOW3 maps.

One user going by the name of MrNightmareTM thinks they are all fake... check them out below and decide for yourself!

Booting up and playing around in the PS3 build. Changed the buttons in the build to better reflect its on the PS3.

Hi! This tutorial is for helping those who have a bass impact issue on Sony's Pulse Elite Edition (or Gold Edition) Wireless 7.1 Stereo Headset that are currently running PS3 Custom Firmware.

On the last Pulse Wireless 7.1 update Sony removed the power bass and the bass is low compared to the original pulse factory firmware (1.0 maybe), so after this update the headset sound is cleaner.

During each button press for changing modes (game, music, etc...) the bass impact also has an issue where the bass stays very low, where users have to power off and power on the headset to go back to normal.... but I disliked this so here's a guide to resolve this problem and restore the bass to normal functionality.

P.S. Restore factory mode for the Pulse Elite doesn't help because Sony updated the firmware.

Note: This tutorial is only for PS3 consoles with Custom Firmware (I tested on 4.55 and 4.78) because if you download the original app from PSN you must have PSN connected and the app updates.

The original app doesn't open if you don't connect to PSN or an active Internet connection (avoiding this update is the goal because this causes the low bass issue) and this PKG and lithium.conf allows it to open without the required update connecting to PSN.

Check and deactivate Internet connection to a block automatic updates from the PKG

Necessary Archives:

MultiMAN or other software for make access on PS3 root HD.

• Headset Companion App PKG
• Lithium.Conf

Or you can copy to USB your archive Lithium.conf (HDD0/GAME/NPUO00025/USRDIR) and change the options of true to false:
1 – Put the two archives on root of your pendrive

2 – Go and install the PKG

3 – Go to Multiman press start and select, open your Pendrive (USB0 or USB1) and copy the Lithium.conf.

4 - Now GO to the folder (HDD0/GAME/NPUO00025/Usrdir) and paste substitute the original Lithium.conf

5 – Close multiman and Connect with USB cable to your pulse elite

6 – Connect USB Pulse elite dongle

Previously @SpecterDev shared a bit regarding SAMU on PS4, followed by some SAMU documentation (which apparently even Sony Employees are seeking ) and now Twitter is lighting up with reports that SAMU is decrypted by PlayStation 4 developers while others including @xxmcvapourxx say in some über1337 dev circles it's legit but old news just surfacing publicly now.

We'll post a bunch of the related tweets below so you can draw your own conclusions, based on tweet timestamps GaryOPA's TrueBlue PS3 Re-DRM dongle buddy Senaxx started the SAMU trend off followed by Red-EyeX32 as Zecoxao hinted on leaks with Harryoke1973 saying he broke their 'rules' and Sony's lawyers will be coming after them all and for @Senaxx to enjoy his 'e-peen moment' as @Senaxx admitted it was work he paid to have done and therefore had 'bragging rights' while m0rph3us1987 reiterated the groups 'don't tell' agreement as Zer0xFF sarcastically thanked notzecoxao for implicating him in the public debacle.

That's a hella lotta drama for one day on Twitter among a group of Sony PlayStation hackers eh??!
