We've covered the PS4 Full Debug Settings 4.05 Payload release, and today Tralala LS from French scene site Logic-Sunrise.com shared a video demo of Trypeur installing The Last of Us Remastered 1.06 PKG game update (see the PlayStation 4 Package (PKG) Finder and PS4 Package (PKG) Database for more) via Debug Menu on an Exploited PS4 4.05 console using Trypeur.96.lt. :)

This comes following how to Install PS4 PKG Files Using a Function vs Debug Settings and PlayStation 4 developer @flatz's demo of Custom Repacked PKG's, as the PS4 4.05 scene awaits Flat_z's Upcoming Release in hopes it will aid developers in porting code for running PS4 4.05 Game Dumps on jailbroken consoles.

To quote from their blog, roughly translated: "It is very hot right now on the PS4 scene with the famous kernel flaws of SpecterDev and all the payloads 4.05 that fall from the sky and the ability to boot linux. Debug menu now available simply with a payload, we see all the colors.

I recently noticed that it was possible to install game UPDATES with the PKG's installation menu on a previously installed game via a disc.

Be careful not to install an update requesting a firmware higher than 4.05, otherwise your game will start and you must erase your entire game to remove the update."

Installing original packages won't work on PS4HEN. They need to be fake signed first, that's why pkgs from here work but (original) pkgs from that link that you mentioned don't.

Regarding split update pkgs, you have to merge them first before you can install them, you can use PKG Merge to do that. But it is unlikely that those will work because as far as I know, updates would also have to be fake signed first in order to work.
OK then thank you very much for that response, I was about to go on a download frenzy lol, they have everything over there, so weird, how none will work but they are uploaded hmmm.

I'm saying to forget those on eXtreme's page of unmodded PKG's, and stick with those posted HERE that are confirmed as 'Tested' and working with 4.05 exploited consoles.
AHH I SEE, well again thank you for responding so promptly I thought I was gonna wait days before someone said something lol. Guess I'll stick with these, unless someone can show me directly how to fake sign stuff, Ill download all and try to get them working for everyone. I also have 53 purchased ps4 games on my jailbroken ps4 if that would help in anyway.

Oh OK THEN , well that sucks lol. Are you pretty good with this ps4 jailbreak scene Im having a hard issue getting debug payload and ftp payloads working at the same time my ps4 shuts off when trying to use an ftp payload, and I need ftp access to install a couple fixes to make some games work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use Al-Azif's tool and use the built in FTP payload with IDC exploit. Wait for a minute after sending the payload before you FTP to your PS4.

The PS4 does sometime shutdown on IDC exploit, just keep trying until it works.

I will give that a shot then thank you very much. AS in this guys tool you mean the self exploit tool right to load payloads?? yet you said built in ftp?? I dont recall a built in ftp feature?? is it automatic??

I mean updating game through PKG, i have tried and it was working its not a kind of thing that needs a separate post. very easy.

@PSXHAX I am not able to reply OR Quote to any comments.

Very interesting! So many users are asking for a way to update games with downloaded pkg files, but no one (as I know) managed to do its successfully.

Just installing those updates like games (using debut menu) is not working as I know. It's successfully installed but the game version stays the same.

So please enlighten us with your knowledge :)

@Nirav Patel You just did. :D

The server is experiencing issues at times due to the high loads, so until traffic dies down from all the mainstream media reporting on the 'PS2 Emulation' PS4 hack there's not much we can do unfortunately.
