As the PlayStation 4 scene inches closer to a 6.72 full jailbreak since the 7.02 Kernel Exploit and 6.72 WebKit Port releases, today developer and homebrew tester extraordinaire @DEFAULTDNB shared via Twitter what he calls FRMCHK which is a Web-based database to identify PS4 games in set / selectable Firmware groups.

This comes following his PS4 CUSA Detector and PS4IDENT project to find a jailbreakable PS4 console before buying, and he accepts Ko-fi Donations and PayPal Donations for his ongoing PS4 homebrew development work.

It can be accessed at the following URL: DefaultDNB.Github.io (Test Page) through your preferred device's Web browser.

Currently the FRMCHK project contains 6360 PS4 game entries with Firmware ranges from 1.01 though 7.51 in over 30 categories including DLC Add-Ons, PS2 Classics, PSN Required and VR Compatible titles!

Each passing day draws us closer to the Holiday 2020 launch for Sony's next-gen PlayStation 5 video gaming console, and today online sales giant Amazon.com put live their PS5 page just days after the first PlayStation 5 Box Art was officially unveiled.

According to Redditor likkyball, on the German Amazon Page the PlayStation 5 weight is also listed at 4.78 kilograms or around 10.5 pounds... which comes in lighter than the original PS3 console that weighed in at 5 Kg (11 lbs). ⚖

Last month PS5 Game Pre-orders opened after the DualSense PS5 Controller reveal and PS5 Pre-order Notification Sign Ups earlier on, and while PS5 Game Prices are reportedly going up there currently is no PlayStation 5 MSRP confirmed yet... although our Site Poll predicts a $499 tag at 933/2147 votes for the PS5 Digital Edition (No BD Drive) entry model with the PS5 Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive model...

Following yesterday's PS4 6.72 Payload Ports by @Al Azif on Github, this weekend kiwidoggie added 6.72 support updating Mira Project to include 4.74, 5.01, 5.03, 5.05 and 6.72 Passing Builds with 4.05, 4.55 and 6.20 still at WIP status alongside a Team OpenOrbis version 6.72 PS4 ELF and Loader... all in preparation for the recently disclosed 7.02 PS4 KEX to be utilized by PlayStation 4 scene developers in the upcoming 6.72 full PS4 jailbreak exploit.

As previously covered, it's recommended not to update your Firmware until a full PS4 6.72 jailbreak is publicly released.
