The Last of Us Part II & Ghost of Tsushima PS4 Release Date Updates
Heating things up today in the world of PlayStation are some updates confirming that the upcoming PS4 games from Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch Productions will indeed launch this summer, with The Last of Us Part II releasing on June 19th and Ghost of Tsushima arriving on July 17th. :fire:

Here's more on the official statement from Sony Head of Worldwide Studios Hermen Hulst, to quote:

As our teams at Sony Interactive Entertainment and Worldwide Studios approach development milestones and confront a world changed by COVID-19, we find ourselves having to adapt to today’s ever-changing environment.

Amidst some disruptions to our working styles, we wanted to provide an update to PlayStation gamers who are eager to learn when our next exclusive titles will arrive to PlayStation 4.

As we begin to see an ease in the global distribution environment, I am pleased to confirm that The Last of Us Part II (which never made it to PAX East due to the annual event's cancellation) will arrive on June 19. And Ghost of Tsushima will follow on July 17.

I want to personally congratulate and thank both the teams at Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch Productions on their achievements, as we know it’s not an easy feat to reach the finish line under these circumstances.

Both teams have worked hard to deliver world-class experiences, and we can’t wait to see what you think of them when they release in just a few short months.

And finally, I want to thank the PlayStation Community for their continuous support and patience.

PlayStation 5 Heatsink Patent Surfaces for Next-Generation PS5 Console
Another day, another peek at new details on Sony's next-generation PlayStation 5 console since the PS5 Hardware Tech Specs revealed last month and the recent unveiling of the DualSense PS5 Wireless Controller... this time a PS5 Heatsink Patent surfaced at the USPTO bringing us a bit closer to the 2020 Holiday Launch. 🤩

To quote from PSU.com on the find: From what we can tell, it seems like manufacturers are looking to place the heatsink on the opposite side of the board, which may include holes to accommodate the PS5’s cooling system.

Here's a description included with the patent: A heatsink (21) is disposed on a lower surface of a circuit board (10). The circuit board (10) has through holes (h1) that penetrate the circuit board (10) in an area (A) where an integrated circuit apparatus (5) is disposed. Heat conduction paths (11) are provided in the through holes (h1).

The heat conduction paths (11) connect the integrated circuit apparatus 5 and the heatsink (21). This structure allows for disposition of a component different from the heatsink (21) on the same side as the integrated circuit apparatus (5), thus ensuring a higher degree of freedom in a component layout.

Stay tuned to the PlayStation 5 Forums for more PS5 News as it develops, and cheers to @HydrogenNGU for the heads-up also!
