Sony Unveils Pulse 3D Wireless Headset in Midnight Black for PS5
Proceeding the PS5 DualSense Midnight Black and Cosmic Red Wireless Controllers and original Pulse 3D Wireless Headset, in PlayStation 5 News today Sony announced the latest Pulse 3D Wireless Headset in Midnight Black launching next month complete with a reveal trailer below. 
For those joining the PS5 Scene, here's further details straight from SIE PS VR, eSports, Peripherals Marketing and Licensing Senior Director Isabelle Tomatis to quote:
Building upon the new galaxy-themed colors we introduced for DualSense wireless controllers in June, I am pleased to share that the Pulse 3D headset is also getting a new color – Midnight Black.
This new look for the Pulse 3D headset will match the same color scheme as the DualSense Midnight Black wireless controller – with two subtly different shades of black. The Pulse 3D Headset in Midnight Black will begin rolling out globally at participating retailers next month.
While all PS5-compatible headsets can be used to experience 3D Audio with PS5 games, the Pulse 3D headset is specifically designed to take full advantage of the console’s Tempest 3D AudioTech, with a fine-tuned frequency response to help players more precisely place sounds in exact locations to match on-screen gameplay.
In our second major system update for PS5, we’re introducing a new equalizer control feature for Pulse 3D headset within PS5’s sound settings as part of our continued efforts to enhance the audio gaming experience...

PS4 System Software / Firmware 9.00 is Now Live, Don't Update!
Following their previous revision and the 9.00 PS4 Beta, in PS4Scene news today alongside PS5 System Software / Firmware v4.00 comes PS4 System Software / Firmware 9.00 officially out of Beta Testing and now live on Sony's servers!

Today Sony is pushing live the PS5 September System Software / Firmware v4.00 (Version 21.02-04.00.00) Update following their previous revision and Beta PS5 System Software / Firmware for testers adding storage expansion support for M.2 SSD Drives alongside new UX features and customization options, 3D Audio for built-in TV speakers and more outlined below!

Starting today Sony's PlayStation Plus Double Discounts promotion goes live on PlayStation Store bringing savings across a multitude of games, with PlayStation Plus members receiving double the discount!

The PlayStation Plus Double Discounts promotion comes to PlayStation Store this Wednesday, September 15.
For a limited time not only can you make savings on a variety of games – such as Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla PS4 & PS5 – but if you’re a PlayStation Plus member, your percentage saving is doubled.

LittleBigPlanet PS4 Servers Return, PS3 and PS Vita Sacked by Hackers
Earlier on LittleBigPlanet announced via Twitter that after extended downtime LBP3 PS4 servers are back online, however, servers for LittleBigPlanet, LBP2, LittleBigPlanet PS3 and LittleBigPlanet PS Vita have been permanently shut down to protect the community and help ensure their online environment remains safe. 
For those who missed it this comes following the LittleBigPlanet File Editor / Texture Viewer, and according to a report by Kotaku.com hackers are at least partially responsible for Sony's drastic move to quote:
"Back in May, Sony shut down the servers for the first three LittleBigPlanet games (and the Vita version) due to ongoing attacks and malicious messages left by hackers. The issues went back to late last year, when Eurogamer reported that ongoing DDoS attacks and unstable servers could be traced back to a single fan who was “unhappy with Sony’s treatment of the franchise.” There were also reports from players of being unable to play some community-made content, and offensive messages appearing in-game."
Some of Sony's previous closure announcements include PS3 Production Ending, PS Vita GameCard Physical Game Production Ceasing, PlayStation Vue Shutting Down...
