PlayStation Store Black Friday 2019 PSN Sale Begins Today!
We've seen the PlayStation Black Friday & Cyber Monday 2019 hardware deals, and today Sony unveiled their Black Friday 2019 PSN discounts offering savings up to 40% off on select PlayStation Store titles including Borderlands 3, FIFA 20, GTA V Premium Online Edition, God of War, Concrete Genie, MediEvil and Call of Duty Modern Warfare.

PlayStation VR Game Releases for the Holiday Season and Early 2020
With a PS VR 5-Game Bundle for $199 available this holiday season and Lost Ember by Mooneye Studios arriving today, here are some upcoming PlayStation VR game releases through early 2020 that shouldn't be missed for PSVR fans including Stardust Odyssey, The Room VR, Pixel Ripped 1995 and Space Channel 5 VR. 
Below are the details, to quote from Sony Social Media Manager Justin Massongill:
Stardust Odyssey eschews the traditional VR motif of physically reaching out to grab things, opting instead to equip players with a sort of magnetic tether that lets them set their own frame of reference for the game’s controls.
I used my left hand to control my ship’s throttle, pushing forward to speed up and pointing in various directions to navigate each level. This makes piloting your wood-and-metal dirigible a joy, enabling effortless traversal through a convoy of oblivious ships whose treasures you can liberate with your trusty tether.
Once you’ve got a feel for your vessel’s controls, you gain access to magical spells that allow you to attack hostile drones with lightning or create a shield to absorb incoming damage.
These new abilities, combined with the option to hide behind other ships to avoid incoming enemy scans, make for an engaging, varied experience that Agharta thinks should take around 10 hours for players to complete (not counting the extra time it will take to complete the game’s optional content and unlock its Trophies).

Sony PS4 / PS3 Blu-ray Disc Drive Internals & Security by Oct0xor at 36c3
Last year they covered Exploiting PS4 Video Apps, and at the 36th annual Chaos Communication Congress (36c3) from December 27th to the 30th 2019 in Leipzig Germany scene developer @Octopus (aka oct0xor on Twitter) will discuss Sony PlayStation 3 and PS4 firmware dumping, reversing and getting code execution on Blu-ray drives for those who love to learn all about their internals and security. 
This comes following his previous PS4 Registry Editor / Viewer release, and in the Tweets below he states the intention of his research findings is NOT to circumvent copy protection noting that (in this case) fully compromised firmware doesn't lead to fully compromised security.

Baikal Support Added to PlayStation 4 Linux Loader by Valeery
Since the PSXITArch Linux v2 Guide, Spine PS4 Emulator for Linux Demo, CECPS4 Linux Scripts and PS4 Gentoo Linux development updates support for the Baikal chip was recently added to the PlayStation 4 Linux Loader by Valeery... which according to PSXITA should help those who have experienced the 'infamous white LED' no video signal issue.
