Last week we saw a preview of the Dragon Ball FighterZ Mod work-in-progress by @Markus95 (aka @Kus00095), and this weekend he released it via Twitter confirming it works with both PS4 5.05 / 5.07 Jailbroken Consoles and also on PS4 6.72 Jailbroken Consoles. 😍

Here's more details from his post on Logic-Sunrise.com, to quote roughly translated: New Mods for Dragon Ball Fighter Z

Here is as announced on my twitter, the publication of new PC mods of Dragon Ball Fighter Z for PS4.

Indeed a large community of modders are having fun on Dragon Ball Fighter Z, many mods (available here) are very easily executable on PC and offer a lot of new features (different transformations, new character skins, new characters, original music or still new courses).

After 2 versions of different PC Mods for PS4, here are ten new mods for this 3rd mod pack of Dragon Ball FighterZ for PS4.

This new mod pack is installed on version CUSA09072 of Dragon Ball Fighter Z, a simple PKG to install like any other PKG via the Debug menu of the console.

It includes many changes described in the changelog above.

You will also need to have installed version 1.19 and all the available DLCs in order to benefit from all the mods in this pack.

Installation:
  • Install the base games
  • Install version 1.19
  • Install all DLC
  • Install mod-pack last
This mod works perfectly on 5.05 and should work also on 6.72 (not tested), I am waiting for your feedback on 6.72 to know if it should be modified for, which would amaze me.

OpenTyrian Beta PS4 Homebrew Game Port Incoming and More!
Following the OpenOrbis PS4 Toolchain and PS4 OrbisDev Shader Player Code and Demo, PlayStation 4 developer masterzorag shared via Twitter word of a new OpenTyrian OrbisDev basic_3 sample with an OpenTyrian Beta PS4 homebrew game port incoming! 😃
In the Tweets below he states the following, to quote: "New #orbisdev basic_3 sample is opentyrian! Graphic on a GLES2 renderer, so it runs fine in PS4 or linux

I miss audio and some fixes to input, but it's cool enough to show; oh, and without the need of entire SDL library!

I know you like to play games, so get ready to play this one!"

:fire: Also heating things up in the PlayStation 4 Scene on Twitter is a new Dragon Ball FighterZ mod work in progress by @Markus95 (aka @Kus00095) alongside a PS4 Mini Homebrew / Coding Contest from @Al Azif:

PXG4: PS4 Full Game Standard Disc Game Test 4 Removed from PS Store
A few years back a Simple Shooting Gallery Game sample PKG for PS4 TestKit owners surfaced, and recently ThatGuyNamedJoey reported a curious PXG4: PS4 Full Game Standard Disc Game Test 4 (Prod) listing for Whale Whale Whale: What Do We Have Here? (80.22 MB) by WILD SWANS on PlayStation Store (Cached Page) at $0.49 that appears to be a Sony marketing tool used for early server development and upgrade integration testing with PS4 / PS5 titles based on the description. o_O

 PXG4 PS4 FG Disc Game Test 4 Entitlement (CUSA24837 Prod) PKG Leak

Elusive like the PS4 IDU (Interface Demonstration Unit) Utility, ThatGuyNamedJoey shared this image for reference with poklane pointing out the comical CUSA24837 background. 🤪

Needless to say, the mysterious application has since been removed leaving only an "Unable to Find This Page: It may be unavailable or the address may be incorrect. Select [Home] to continue browsing the PlayStation Store." default error template in its place. 🙃

However, before it was taken down YaboyPS5 (aka Minecraft, FNAF, AndMore on YouTube) had the foresight to capture a demo video of it in action below...
PS4 Scene Group DUPLEX Removes Mandatory Online & Title Update Requirements!
Reminiscent of the KALiSTO and PARADOX old skool scene days when talent beyond simply dumping / ripping video games was required, over the weekend PlayStation 4 scene release group DUPLEX raised the bar a notch by doing just that... and removing the mandatory online and title update requirements on their latest PS4 scene release! 😍

For further details on the release notes see the SPOILER below, and in summary they included the 1.01 Update and six DLC PKG's to play ALL the game modes including single player and multiplayer (even in LAN and / or against bots) bypassing the online requirements for those using PS4HEN with the 6.72 Exploit Menu / Al Azif's DNS on a Jailbroken 6.72 PS4 console! 🤩

Since proving it can now be done, here's to hoping as the PS4 scene progresses this becomes standard on other PlayStation 4 game releases with an end-user guide on what to modify and / or how to get it working using an original disc (saves downloading 121.78 GB in this case) to bypass the PSN online check requirements.
