In PlayStation 5 News this weekend following the recent PS5 Tutorials and latest PS5 Trailer videos, Stevivor via YouTube shared a brief guide on how the PS5 Console Sharing and Offline Play feature works for those who gameshare with a Primary PS4 as the official PS5 Launch Day closes in with only PS5 Online Ordering available to join Sony's next-gen console scene. 🤩

To recap briefly, we've seen a PS4 Gamesharing Guide, an Egyption PS4 Gamesharing Method, a PSN Gamesharing Hardware Method, an XBox One Gamesharing Method, the Brazilian PS4 Gamesharing Method, How to Gameshare on PS4 with Family and Friends, a PS4 PSN Trick to Unlimited Share Games, various PS4 Gamesharing Methods Outlined alongside a PSX Download Helper tool, PSN Account Sharing Dumps, a PS4 Method to Activate PSN Accounts with Games revolving around using hacked PSN accounts that was inevitably patched and a New PS4 Gamesharing Method that also revolved around since disclosed PSN payment system flaws.

 Here's to hoping the PlayStation 5 Scene will find some more bypasses / loopholes for sharing installed PS5 PKG games, or perhaps the One Private PS4 Gamesharing Method Remaining will end up working with PS5 also unlike the Authorization Token on PlayStation Network Leaks via PostMessage Function already reported or the code injection exploit (Websites Can Run Arbitrary Code on Machines Running the 'PlayStation Now' Application) if it relies on some undisclosed / unpatched PSN vulnerabilities. :sneaky:

To quote from Stevivor.com: Game sharers, be aware. PS5 Console Sharing and Offline Play is the new name of the system that PlayStation players would think of as the Primary PS4 system, one that's crucial for those game sharing with another friend or family member.

Like the Primary PS4 system before it, you can log into a console and set it as your primary system; anyone else that logs into that specific console will gain entitlements to all the games you’ve purchased. The same is true with PS5 Console Sharing and Offline Play, despite the new name.

To check the feature on your PS5, do the following:
  1. Go to Settings
  2. Go to Users and Accounts > Other
  3. Select Console Sharing and Offline Play
  4. You’ll automatically have the feature enabled on your first PS5, but you can subsequently choose to Disable it and use it on another. If you’d like the feature to remain on the console you’re using, select Don't Disable.
Best yet, you can still have a Primary PS4 set up alongside a PS5 with Console Sharing and Offline Play.

so we can install 10-12 ps5 games

Apparently Sony didn't read the memo that since the PS2 scene people have been loading up HDD's with tons of games... so the PS5 internal 825GB (only 667.2GB is accessible) won't last long. 😄

According to Sony via TheVerge, the PlayStation 5's storage expansion slot for M.2 SSD stick drives will be disabled at launch adding support in a future PS5 Firmware update. 😑

So either update and lose potential HAX, or settle for playing 10-12 PS5 games at a time I suppose.

We wont update, Sony can do as they want. My ps5 consoles will remain offline no matter what happens. There is a lot of ps4 games to play ATM, we also can play on pc. I will never give up and never surrender.

Well, if new games will be around 100gb, from installation to updates and DLC, 660gb won't last long. It's worth it for just 6-7 games, not 10-12!
Which means in one year or so you should already think to spend 100-200$/€ to buy the best ssd on the market, because a cheap one will not be fast enough.... Lots of money to play this time.

The unfortunate end is the fact devs will stop working on ps4 and jump to ps5 as the end of life of the system just as they did with ps3 when ps4 came out except for the very few interested in the hypervisor
