Since the release of MakePFS and his PS4 FTP IP Set, PlayStation 4 developer @dbaaz put together his first PS4-PFSPKG-DUMP.bin payload called PS4 PFSPKG Dump that dumps pfs_image and app.pkg to usb0 which can be handy for PS4 4.05 game rippers to dump large files to their external hard drive

How to:

1. Open the .bin file using a hexeditor and change CUSAXXXXX to the game id of your game.
2. Open web browser, go to a exploit host page, and minimise the browser using the PS4 home button.
3. Start the game you wish to dump. Wait until you reach the menus.
4. Connect your external HDD to your USB0 port (leftmost usb port). Make sure you have at least 100GB free space.
5. Wait until your PS4 recognizes your HDD. Then, send the payload

PS4-PFSPKG-DUMP v1.1 Changelog:

• Increased buffer size
• Use hexedit to change game id

Following the PS2 Backups on PS4HEN progress this past weekend, Fake PKG Generator for PS4 and his recent Make_FSELF_GUI v1.2 update, today PlayStation 4 developer @cfwprophet shared on Twitter a Free PS2 Pub Gen (Fake PKG Tools) that are used as a PS2 Fake PKG Generator for PS4 while PS3120 made available the required orbis-pub-cmd-ps2.exe file and orbis-pub-gen.exe.

Similar to GeekPwn, the CCC Conference, Zer0Con and Tencent Security Conference hacker Volodymyr Pikhur who previously shared a demo of his PS4 IPL AES + HMAC Key Recovery Project will be giving a PS4 presentation at Recon Brussels 2018 on February 3rd at 16:00.

If you have a PlayStation 4 on 4.05 Firmware and haven't jumped on the PS4 exploit bandwagon yet, this may be a good time as the PS4 Homebrew ENabler (PS4HEN) payload was forked from IDC's GIT and added to PS4-HEN-VTX (Exploit Ps4.rar) by @XVortex (who brought us FTPS4 and PKG Kitchen), which can now be sent via Webpage (no PC needed) thanks to Detective Liliruca with the PS4HEN_405exploit.tar (thanks faisalk87 for the link) also included in PS4 Exploit Host v0.3.14 by @Al Azif for local hosting and accessible HERE.
